Ko\u00e7 Museum, the &#8216;Horse Power&#8217; exhibition, which examines the chronological change of passenger vehicles, met with art lovers at the Rahmi M. Ko\u00e7 Museum.<br \/>The exhibition aims to trace the traces of the horse in art and engineering from the 2nd century BC to the present day and to explore the transformation of the automobile in industrial history with the concept of &#8216;horse power&#8217;.<\/p><p>The exhibition, which opened with the theme of &#8216;A magnificent historical journey where the horse meets the automobile and art meets engineering&#8217;, presents horse figures, automobiles, paintings, toys and various objects to the audience.<\/p><p>The exhibition welcomes art lovers with its sections titled &#8216;Horse Figures from the Rahmi M. Ko\u00e7 Collection&#8217; and &#8216;Automobile Stories from the Rahmi M. Ko\u00e7 Museum&#8217;.<\/p><p>Making statements about the exhibition, Serra Kanyak, the curator of the Horse Figures section from the Rahmi M. Ko\u00e7 Collection, stated that they prepare large exhibitions every 10 years and said, &#8220;For the 30th year, we said, let&#8217;s choose a subject from Rahmi Bey&#8217;s special area of \u200b\u200binterest. Rahmi Bey said, &#8216;Let&#8217;s choose the horse as a theme that combines horses and cars, the industrial and pre-industrial period. Let&#8217;s prepare such an exhibition.&#8217; It is a very broad subject. I took on the section about horses. We already had quite a few horse-related objects in Rahmi Bey&#8217;s collection. We evaluated them and brought them together.&#8221; Kanyak also stated that the part about the automobile was being prepared and gave the following information:<\/p><p>&#8220;Since the family has a passion and love for horses from the past, our job was not very difficult. Most of them were pieces from our own collection. In addition, we received support from many institutions such as the Jockey Club of Turkey, Istanbul Library, \u00c7elik G\u00fclersoy Foundation, and \u0130n\u00f6n\u00fc Foundation. We brought together the accessories and clothes used while riding horses in both art and daily life.
