How Many Vehicles Were Produced in Turkey in 11 Months?

It broke a record in vehicle production in Turkey in 11 months. According to OSD’s 11-month total production data, Turkey broke a new record in production and the sector’s exports reached 32.5 billion dollars.

Automotive Industry Association (OSD) announced the data for the first 11 months of 2023. Total production increased by 12 percent compared to the same period last year. So how many cars were produced in Turkey during this period?

Automotive Industry Association (OSD) announced the data for the first 11 months of 2023. Compared to the same period last year, total production increased by 12 percent and reached 1 million 349 thousand 79 units. Automobile production, which increased by 22 percent compared to the first 11 months of last year, reached 876 thousand 251 units. With tractor production, total production increased to 1 million 402 thousand 304 units. While production decreased by 4 percent in the commercial vehicle group and 7 percent in the light commercial vehicle group in the first 11 months of the year, it increased by 20 percent in the heavy commercial vehicle group. Compared to the first 11 months of 2022, the commercial vehicle market increased by 40 percent, the heavy commercial vehicle market increased by 22 percent, and the light commercial vehicle market increased by 44 percent. In the first 11 months of the year, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports increased by 6 percent in terms of units, while the increase in automobile exports was 18 percent. During this period, total exports were 926 thousand 223 units and automobile exports were 601 thousand 665 units. In the 11-month period of 2023, the total market increased by 59 percent compared to the same period last year, closing at 1 million 119 thousand 300 units. During this period, the automobile market also increased by 66 percent and reached 840 thousand 925 units.
