The Ministry’s decision regarding the regulation was published in the Official Gazette. According to the decision, the implementation date of the General Security Regulation was postponed from 7 July 2024 to 31 August 2024.
Following the development that has been talked about for months and affects sales in the automotive market, vehicles that are in stock and will be imported for the next month and a half will be sold with the current safety regulations.
While automobile brands trying to reduce their vehicle stocks due to the regulation have been organizing campaigns for a long time, the second-hand market was also negatively affected by this situation. While the campaigns are expected to continue and diversify with the Ministry’s decision to postpone, the situation is considered as an opportunity for those who have the means to buy a vehicle.
